All I Do Is Knit, Knit, Knit

I have a few projects on my needles currently. I try to work on each a little bit per day. An hour of this, or a few minutes of that. I sometimes have a rather short attention span.

Yes, I am still knitting Hexi-puffs here and there. It is a never ending project. I hope to have the Beekeeper's Quilt completed by the time my youngest daughter graduates high school in June 2014. She has claimed the blanket already. The quilt has already been on my needles for over a year. I started it is Spetember 2011. In my defense...I don't work on this project constantly. I knit a puff here and a handful there. Last night, I knitted 2 and a half puffs. We will see if I get around to knitting one or three, today.

I did finish a hat, last night. Well, you see, it's Hubby birthday tomorrow. He loves my knitted hats and always wears them when it's cold outside. He commutes to and from work, via public transit. There is a lot of outdoor "waiting for the bus" time.

I made the Shilling hat, a free pattern to download from Ravelry. It was a fun knit. I love the texture in the hat, myself. I will be giving Hubs his hat in the morning. I will post the notes and more information on the hat once I get better photos of it. I made a pretty ribbon and note, last night, before I realized that I never got a good photo of the hat. Ooops. So, tomorrow I will post more about it, pinky swear.

I am sure everyone has heard about the Portland Mall Shooting rampage that happened two days ago...? Everyone around here is still in shock. Also security at all of the other malls in and near Portland has been stepped up. No one can figure out the motive of the gunman, really. It's just all a sad, sad tragedy. While, no one in my immediate family or circle of friends were at that mall, thankfully. I was sad to hear that Hubby's boss knew one of the people killed in the rampage. I will be keeping the families of the affected in my thoughts...

Otherwise, I am busy at home today...I have knitting to do. I am reserving my "work knitting" for this morning. I will work on my personal knitting later today. I also have some general cleaning to do around the apartment today. Meh! I hope everyone had a nice day. Until tomorrow...
