Knit Picks...Loved By All

My Knit Picks order arrived yesterday afternoon...Yay, Happy Valentine's to me. It's a great thing that red is one of my most favorite colors. A lot of red and pink yarns were on sale at Knit Picks in celebration of the holiday. I bought yarn during the sale...and an extra gift for me. I invested in a set of needles...Options Interchangeable Zephyr Acrylic Circular Knitting Needle Set. I haven't had much time to play with them just yet...I will be using them really soon.

Yarn and Needles...
The yarn is three skeins of Knit Picks Stroll Tonal in "Gypsy." Stroll Tonal is my favorite sock yarn and I think the red colorway is my favorite too. I am also partial to "Blue Yonder." I had been sort of saving to buy several skeins of this sock yarn...to make? Folded. I purchased the pattern over a year ago and have been wanting to make it. I just needed to get the yarn. I am going to knit Folded in this red yarn with my new needles...very soon. I think it will be my Spring-time project.

Pixie, sleeping in the Knit Picks box
Knit Picks is loved by all in this house...I love Knit Picks for obvious reasons, being a knitter/crocheter. The cats love them for the boxes. The above photo shows what happens every time I get a package from Knit Picks. It becomes Pixie's favorite sleeping spot. The box is the perfect size for her...

Pixie...the old biddy
Lastly, I will leave you with a photo of Pixie, my other cat. Phinn is usually the star of my blog and Intsagram. I do have a second cat. It's Pixie...the cranky old biddy. She is the bitchy cat. Pixie is 13 years old nowadays. Names she goes by: Pixie (of course), Pix, Pixers, Pixel, Pixie-Poo, Bitchy McFuzz, Bipolar Kitty, Pipsqueak. She is a highly stressed cat, always has been. She hates most people and all other cats. She is the most affectionate and whiney cat I have ever known. She is mostly my cat. Sadly, I have noticed that Pixie has slowed down in the past year. She gets around well...just not as spryly as she used to. She is getting arthritic, I suspect.

Happy Friday! OMG, and the weather in Portland today is so Spring-like. Near 60 degrees and sunny. The birds are chirping like Spring too. I am going to enjoy this, since it is only going to last for one whole day. I am going to be busy today. I have things to do...and "to-do" list a mile long. I can't spend my time procrastinating today. Gotta gooooo...

Happy Weekend, folks. Have a good one!
