Lunatic Fringe Scarf, despite having the flu. Yay me! Now, I think I need to go and lay down. Hahaha...
I have been knitting on this scarf for weeks. I have other projects that I am knitting/crocheting too. I worked on it a lot while watching TV. A mindless knit with enough details to hold my interest. A perfect project...
I enjoyed this project a lot. I would make it again.
I haven't blocked the scarf. These pics were taken right after I bound off. Silly me. I'm being really lazy about the blocking...or just sick. I am not sure the scarf really HAS to be blocked, even? We'll see...As soon as I feel better, I will model the scarf in a pic or two.
SPECS ON THE SCARF:
Pattern: Lunatic Fringe, a free pattern from the Spring/Summer 2013 issue of Knitty.
Yarn: 1.5 skeins (approx 385 yards) of Cestari Heather Collection in "lilac heather."
Needles: US # 8 needles. (5.0 mm)
Mods: I used DK yarn and a size smaller in needles. I ended up doing a full extra repeat to accomodate the smaller needles and yarn weight.
Time: 3 weeks total.
Verdict: I love this little shawl/scarf. I would definitely knit this one again. I had fun making it and I think it's super cute. I love the fringe. The yarn worked really well for this project too. Love x 100.
